Welcome and Goodbye
We had to say a bittersweet goodbye to one of our employees Elena. We also are giving a warm welcome to our newest employee Megan who will be replacing Elena as she moves on to a new chapter in her career.
The truck has been painted yellow!
Our employee, Elena, helped sort, declutter, and organize the Hope Heals donation processing center over the last year and a half or so. This is the most “wow” transformation photo we have. It’s pretty cool. :D We’re enjoying packing care packages much better now.
Birthday Cupcakes- 2020
Hope Heals coordinates with another organization to make sure homeless people get celebrated on their birthday. Usually, a cake is made, however during COVID-19, in order to help limit contact, we are now doing cupcakes. Aren’t they cute!
Cleaning Supplies
We get Dollar Tree gift cards and monetary donations and use them to purchase cleaning supplies for our care packages.
Here are our cleaning supplies shelves at our donation processing center.
The Hope Heals’ “Kitchen”
In our processing center, we have one room we call our “kitchen.” It is stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and utensils for packing our care packages. In this photo, Annett is proudly showing one of the blankets we received in a big blanket donation from the employees at Marshalls.
Clothes Closet at 1st Congregational Church
The closet was stocked every week by Hope Heals until March 2020 due to COVID-19.
